The grand boule is an event hosted by the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity with the aim of providing intellectually stimulating programs that enhances the members’ ability to provide dynamic leadership and to conduct fraternity business. Prime Minister, Philip Davis, an Archon in the organization, shared that over 50 percent of the country’s national debt relates to the consequences of climate change.

Prime Minister Davis noting that for the past 26 years, world leaders have met to discuss what bigger, more developed countries could do to mitigate the effects of climate change on smaller island nations.

And as the United States recently passed a bill to address climate change on their shores, he says he believes that the bill is using the current Russia Ukraine war as a cloak.

Former Prime Minister Of Jamaica, Percival P.J. Patterson also weighed in on the war, he says what is happening between the two countries is by no means confined to them.

Now over 2,500 members are on island for the event and it is predicted that the conference will inject some 4 million dollars into the economy.
