NEW YORK – Prime Minister Philip Davis using his address at the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Saturday, calling for reforms in the global financial system.

Davis says those reforms need the ambition, to “make it more relevant to the needs of today,” in an equitable way.

On Friday, a joint release issued by the Ministry of Finance and The Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs, noted that the Government of The Bahamas anticipates the European Union “will add The Bahamas to its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions,” a move Prime Minister Davis today described as “unfair”.

In response to the dilemma Davis says, ”Black governed countries matter.”

His comments came at the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, New York
