NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It seems things between government and the Grand Bahama Port Authority are still “rocky”. That as the prime minister shared this week with the media that the port’s sale is up for consideration.

There has been much back and forth between government and Grand Bahama port officials over the past few months. Prime Minister Philip Davis has gone on record explaining the port hasn’t done enough for Freeport to flourish. In fact, he says he is still waiting to hear from port executives on a matter that should’ve been resolved last month.

As for questions about the port potentially being sold and whether its something being considered? The prime minister answered this way.

And despite what happens, Prime Minister Davis says he remains committed to taking the island back to its glory days.
