NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police corporal remains in custody on allegations that he played a role in the murder of passport office employee Jason Whitfield. 

The policeman, who has been on the police force for 25 years, was arrested Monday while on duty at the South Street Magistrates’ Court Complex.

He interviewed by CID detectives Tuesday afternoon.

Whitfield, 43, a senior clerk at the Passport Office, was found shot dead in a government-owned car in Garden Hills on December 3.
