NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is dead following a police involved shooting Saturday. According to reports, the man was fatally shot by police after he produced a firearm and engaged officers.

This incident unfolded shortly after 3pm when officers responded to calls of an armed robbery in the Robinson Road area.
Police Press Liaison, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings says as officers grew closer to Miami Street, they observed a vehicle fitting the description that was allegedly involved in the incident, with two men inside.
While on scene, she says officers from the deceased, a firearm, a quantity of ammunition and a substantial amount of cash believed to be taken during the armed robbery.
