NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The country hitting a grim milestone overnight after a man’s bullet-ridden body was found in the road just feet away from an elementary school and gated community. It’s the third murder investigation police have opened this week and this latest homicide pushes the murder count to 101 for the year. Police say they’re taking action. 

Police received a report about a possible traffic accident on High Point Road, last night.

Police Press Liason, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings says what police found on the scene told a different story. 

While the victim was not identified, Chief Superintendent Skippings explains what police know: The suspect is a dark male who appears to be in his late twenties.

She is appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.

With this being the second murder for the week, Skippings reassures the public that patrols throughout the island have been ramped up.
