NASSAU , BAHAMAS – This winter, the Atlantis Theatre is set to be transformed into a living adventure, with performers on stage, soaring above attendees and weaving through the aisles for a highly anticipated show.

Our Evlynn Ferguson got a preview t, and as she tells us in this report, it’s already gaining worldwide buzz.

The team behind the brand-new holiday show, Pomp, Snow & Cirqueumstance, promises it’s unlike anything audiences have ever seen.

It’s adapted from the 20-time award-winning book and television special by acclaimed Broadway director Neil Goldberg.

I spoke to the mastermind behind it all. Goldberg told me what inspired him to write the book and bring the show to life.

“Pomp is about music, Snow is about magic, and Cirqueumstance is about circus. These characters learn music, magic and circus at the Secrets University, and they graduate and get diplomas from Santa. Then they travel all over the world to spread music, magic and circus to make the holidays and Christmas the best they can be. So this show is 70 minutes, with over 23 performers and artists from 16 different countries, and it tells that story.”

For Goldberg, this holiday show is more than a dazzling production.

He says he chose Atlantis Paradise Island not just for its appeal as a world-class resort, but because the theatre itself holds a special place in his journey.

“The Bahamas and Atlantis have really been dear to my heart for a very long time. I sat in the Atlantis Theatre when it first opened, and I saw the original Jimmy Buffett musical that was on this stage behind us. The intimacy and the stage size are perfect. Pomp, Snow & Cirqueumstance is actually going to Broadway after The Bahamas, so this is like a Broadway theatre.”

And Goldberg didn’t come alone.

He brought one of the show’s main characters, Pomp, to meet us in person.

“I do love my outfit. I love wearing this all around and sharing it with all of my new friends, but music is my passion. I love getting to share my voice and my music with others, to help inspire them and inspire our circus friends to do what they do best.”

The show debuts on November 29 and runs through January 8. Tickets go on sale June 12.
