NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services planning to implement a correctional university where inmates can obtain their Bachelors degree. That revelation coming from Acting Commissioner of Corrections Doan Cleare this week. He says he is in talks with the University of The Bahamas to make that plan a reality soon. As they want to create the best environment possible for prisoners because going forward the focus will be on rehabilitation.

Now, he also says they are in talks with the Grand Bahama Port Authority to identify housing in Grand Bahama for inmates once they are released from prison.
