NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Just one day after a judge denied bail to a man accused of attempted murder, prosecutors withdrew the charge.

Mario Brown, 33, spent over two months in custody on the attempted murder charge that stemmed from the September 4 shooting of a man in Bain Town.

Prosecutors objected to Brown’s release on bail, despite an affidavit from the shooting victim, who confirmed that Brown did not shoot him.

Senior Justice Bernard Turner denied Brown’s bail bid on Monday however, the case was withdrawn today on a directive from DPP Garvin Gaskin.
