Religious Groups Sue Over Immigration Arrests

UNITED STATES – Over two dozen Christian and Jewish groups filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against a new Trump administration policy which gives immigration agents broader authority to make arrests at houses of worship.

They argue the policy infringes on religious freedom and the ability to minister to everyone, regardless of legal status.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration continues to defend the policy as a continuation of long-standing practices.
