NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Meet Dakarai Turnquest a 17-year-old professional pool player who hails from Long Island and is the Head Boy at NGM Major High School.

Dakarai won a 9-ball platinum division pool tournament in Las Vegas and plans to continue to take 242 to the world.

He had this advice for those who may be considering pool as a profession.

Dakarai shares that pool was once only thought of as a gambling sport, but now it’s so much more than that.

Dakarai’s father was also not short on words. Despite him doing so well at the Vegas tournament and with expectations for him to continue to play in future tournaments, support is needed.
