CHINA – Seven people were arrested in North Eastern China for clashing with authorities enforcing COVID-19 quarantine restrictions.

The violence comes as China reports new COVID cases nationwide with 2,200 cases in southern China on Tuesday alone.

While the numbers remain relatively low, China has relentlessly pursued a strict zero COVID policy on quarantines.

Anti-pandemic measures prompting backlashes across the country forming a rarely-seen challenge to communist party authority.
