Residents React To Expanded Price Control List Expiring

Minister for Economic Affairs, Michael Halkitis, has said the government believes inflation, particularly in the United States, has “moderated” and they expect to see that passed on to The Bahamas.
Well Our News team spoke to residents to get their reactions. This resident says she’s not so sure about that logic.
Meantime, this resident employed at the Department of Social Services says she hopes the measure still allows clients to get the most value from their food stipends.
And, while the number of residents seeking assistance fluctuates, that number tends to increase in the summer months as children stay home.
