NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Anglican Bishop Laish Boyd calling for greater respect for safeguards to strengthen government systems that promote transparency, accountability, and equity.

During his charge to the 119th Anglican Synod Wednesday night, Boyd spoke specifically to the Office of the Auditor General and the Freedom of Information Act.

Boyd says national issues arise due to the lack of accountability and transparency by those in power.

He says if the country continues down this path we will soon tire ourselves after needlessly wasting precious time and valuable resources – while making no meaningful progress.
