NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Rev. Dr. Ivan F. Butler Jr. has served Kemp Road Ministries and the wider Kemp Road community for the past 40 years.

On Sunday, the church’s leadership, membership and the wider Bahamian community celebrated him.

We got a chance to talk with him earlier and asked him what is the secret behind the longevity he’s experienced.

Now Butler is married to Dr. Joanne Butler and they have one child, Gabriella Smith.

They’ve been on the journey with him from day one and know him best but is it difficult to “share” their husband and father.

And despite his busy schedule, Dr. Joanne reflects on her favorite times.

Gabbriella on the other hand, enjoys the traveling that comes along with being a pastor’s kid and hospital visits.

But all in all – through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, the highs and the lows – here’s what stands out the most.
