NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS — REV Media is thrilled to announce the launch of GO242 on channel 205, a comprehensive new channel in The Bahamas that will be the go-to destination for news, entertainment, and information.

GO242 will offer diverse programming, including viewer-submitted community celebrations, weddings, special events, and homegoing announcements. This new service will allow viewers to contribute and participate in the content that appears on GO242.

One of the most exciting features of GO242 is the inclusion of live traffic cameras for major intersections and areas around New Providence, making it easier for viewers to navigate daily commutes.

In addition, the channel will provide current airline schedules for 19 critical airports in The Bahamas and mail boat schedules. More transportation schedules will be added in the future, ensuring that viewers have access to the latest travel information.

GO242 will also feature five-day weather forecasts for the major islands of The Bahamas and significant US, Canadian, and Europe cities. This feature will help viewers plan their travel and adjust to weather conditions.

Moreover, GO242 will include multiple news tickers with the most up-to-date national, regional, and international news sourced from the ournews.bs website, critical local information, and programming updates from Our TV.

These tickers will provide viewers with a comprehensive overview of the latest developments worldwide, keeping them informed and up-to-date on breaking news and current events.

“We are excited to launch GO242 and provide our viewers with a reliable, local, high-quality source of news, entertainment, and information,” said David Burrows, vice president of REV Media. “With its unique features, diverse programming and up-to-the-minute content, GO242 promises to become a favourite among Bahamian residents and businesses.”

GO242 will officially launch on April 7th on channels 205 and 242 and online in the Bahamas only at ournews.bs/go242/ and will feature in-depth coverage of the 50th CARIFTA Games all weekend. The channel aims to become a reliable and comprehensive news and entertainment source.

Viewer-submitted community celebrations, weddings, special events, and homegoing announcements can be submitted for free starting April 7th at ournews.bs/celebrations/.
