NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Holy Week began today in the Christian Church as many are celebrating Palm Sunday, leading up to Resurrection Sunday, also known as Easter Sunday.

Our Sasha Lightbourne speaks with her pastor about the significance of the entire week.

Next to Christmas, Easter is one of the most sacred times on the Christian calendar.

For many, it begins with Lent, signifying the 40 days and nights that Jesus fasted and prayed.

Coming to a culmination on Easter Sunday with Jesus’ ascension into heaven.

Senior Pastor at Kemp Road Ministries Ivan Ford Butler explains.

The senior pastor also explains without the Easter season, the world as we know it today would be very different.
