NASSAU , BAHAMAS – What was supposed to be a customary budget contribution by Long Island MP Dr. Andre Rollins quickly took a turn.

The back and forth started after House Speaker Patricia Deveaux chastised Rollins for suggesting government corruption after he named millionaire campaign contributors that stretched back to the early 2000s.

“We’re talking about the budget and money and the influence of money in politics. There has to do with this budget.”

Rollins clarifying and insisting that he was not implying corruption, but only brought up the businessman to illustrate the influence of money in politics.

But Fox Hill MP Fred Mitchell repeatedly rose to his feet on points of order, asking what the relevance was to the budget debate — something House Speaker Patricia Deveaux agreed with, calling Rollins’ remarks reckless.

“Don’t you come in here and try to deceive me and tell me that you did not say it, because I know I heard what you said. Don’t play with that, and don’t play with me when it comes to my integrity, because I stand on that.”

But the back and forth didn’t end there, as other members began to take part in the heated exchange.

Dr. Rollins offered this word of advice that sparked a firestorm…

“I don’t want you to have a health event in here. Please, please.”
Pat: “Meeee?”
“You could never.”
Pat: “Meee? Ten just like you.”

“Ten more Rollins, ten more Rollins could not give me a health event. Ten more, ten more. I’m sorry, okay? You better calm down and watch yourself. Don’t let that red tie choke you now and cause you to say bad things.”

But Rollins insisted…
