BIMINI, BAHAMAS – Her exit from the Bimini straw market is seen as a blessing in disguise for Corwell Bain as she says business is booming.

While driving on Bimini’s Queen’s Highway, you may pass Bain’s set up under a tent on the side of the street. There you’ll find her selling Bahamian nick-nacks like earrings, necklaces, magnets, key rings, t-shirts, and much more.

As a result, Bain says the income makes making ends meet easier.

Bain says her neighbor allows her to set up shop in her yard, near the main road where many pass her daily.

The spot is ideal for her as many tourists staying at the nearby hotels pass daily.

The Bimini native has managed to turn what some may see as a stumbling block into a success story.

She had this for anyone who may find themselves in a similar position.
