Soccer

Sports can take you all over the world – and for Marcel Joseph, soccer took him to Romania.

Joseph recently signed with Club Atletic Oradea of Liga IV, the fourth division in Romania.

After playing locally and in Costa Rica, Joseph said the transfer to Romania to follow his pro dreams was the opportunity of a lifetime.

Joseph has worn the captain’s armband for The Bahamas several times and said he hopes to serve as inspiration for others looking to make pro soccer a viable career.

NBPA Basketball

In the New Providence Basketball Association, the Commonwealth Bank Giants are always perennial contenders — the Tucker Boys Mambas found out why.

The Giants lead the Michael Boshang cooper division at 13-0 while the Mambas dropped to fourth at 5-8.
