NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The national sailing academy will take months and even years to build, according to sailing director at the Bahamas National Sailing School Jimmy Lowe.

In the meantime, he says operations will continue at the Nassau Yacht Club but those facilities could also use an upgrade.

And as for how plans are progressing on the National Sailing Academy?

Lowe shared that three venues have been identified for the academy – to the east of the Nassau Yacht Club, Arawak Cay and an area near Montague Beach but he admits that these things take time and won’t happen overnight.

NCAA Basketball

Deyton Albury of Queen’s University scored 23 points in a thrilling game against Jacksonville university, unfortunately for the Royals, they would come up just short falling 79-77.

Albury was all over the court grabbing 5 rebounds, dishing out 2 assists and pilfering 5 steals.

Unfortunately for Albury and Queen’s, he would miss a game-tying layup with 6 seconds left in regulation allowing the Dolphins to hold onto the win.
