NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Sand Wars Beach Flag Football Tournament is an annual event that brings men and women from throughout The Bahamas, and from a number of different countries right here to duke it out for bragging rights and cold hard cash. It’s set for next week.

Coach Antoan Richardson and his Atlanta Braves lost a 2-1 barnburner to the St. Louis Cardinals. Cards’ pitching shut them down, and they only recorded 3 hits in the game.

Meanwhile, Mike Yastrzemski hit a double, the only extra-base hit of the game, and also the game’s only run.

Then down in the minors, BJ Murray went 0-3, but he recorded two walks and scored a run to help his triple-A Iowa Cubs grab a 7-4 win over the St. Paul Saints.
