NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Sand Wars Beach Flag Football Tournament is an annual event that brings men and women from throughout The Bahamas, and from a number of different countries right here to duke it out for bragging rights and cold hard cash. It’s set for next week.

Jazz Hits Clutch Home Run, Braves’ Bats Get Shut Down

Down 2-3 in the ninth, Jazz Chisholm stepped to the plate and launched a 387-foot two-run bomb to put the New York Yankees up, and help them secure a 5-3 win over the Washington Nationals.

It was his only hit of the day. He was 1-4.

Coach Antoan Richardson and his Atlanta Braves lost a 2-1 barnburner to the St. Louis Cardinals. Cards’ pitching shut them down, and they only recorded 3 hits in the game.

Meanwhile, Mike Yastrzemski hit a double, the only extra-base hit of the game, and also the game’s only run.

Then down in the minors, BJ Murray went 0-3, but he recorded two walks and scored a run to help his triple-A Iowa Cubs grab a 7-4 win over the St. Paul Saints.
