School Bus Driver Granted Bail After Pleading Not Guilty to Indecent Assault

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A school bus driver has been granted bail after pleading not guilty to charges that he had indecent contact with an 11-year-old girl he was transporting.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A school bus driver has been granted bail after pleading not guilty to charges that he had indecent contact with an 11-year-old girl he was transporting.

Stephen Darling, 59, of Peter Street, who works for a company that is contracted to transport students at a public primary school, is accused of indecently assaulting the student at Carmichael Road on April 28.

Darling works for a company that has a contract to transport students at a public primary school.

He  denied the allegation at his arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.

As a condition of bail, Darling must wear an ankle bracelet and have no contact with his alleged victim and other prosecution witnesses.

Darling’s trial is set for June 30.
