Search For Those Missing After Texas Floods Resumes

TEXAS, UNITED STATES – The search for flood victims in Texas Hill Country grows more urgent, With at least 132 people confirmed dead after July 4th flash floods devastated the Guadalupe River area.

State officials say more than 160 remain missing in Kerr County alone.

Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian summer camp, lost at least 27 campers and counselors.

After a pause due to heavy rain, search and rescue operations resumed Monday with teams using sonar and diving equipment to locate victims, including trailers found buried over 25 feet deep underwater.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, continues to lead the effort as local officials urge patience amid growing frustration and concerns for public safety.
