Senator Appointed IDB Alternate Executive Director for The Caribbean

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Senator and Chairman of the Bahamas Development Bank Quinton Lightbourne has been appointed as the Alternate Executive Director for the Caribbean at the Inter American Development Bank.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Senator and Chairman of the Bahamas Development Bank Quinton Lightbourne explaining what his new position at the Inter American Development  Bank will entail.

He also shared exclusively with our news about the impact of his role and position for the region.

Announced by the Office of the Prime Minister Sunday, government endorsed  and congratulated Lightbourne on “this monumental appointment.” Lightbourne will be the youngest bahamian to hold that position.

Two other bahamians served as alternate executive director as well – Barry Malcolm and Jerry Butler.

The post will take effect on July 1st.
