NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Time is winding down for shantytown residents in Southern New Providence. Just a five minute bumpy ride on a dirt road off Carmichael Road leads to yet another unregulated community.

It’s where Pastor Jean Donet Ambrevil shepherds a congregation.

A man, who claims he had an encounter with members of the Coalition of Independents a year ago and now wants to remain anonymous.

While he understands the government’s stance, he says they simply need more time.

Police Superintendent Stephen Carey is actively on the ground in these communities.

A part of his work is to remind these residents of the policy.
