MIDDLE EAST – Major oil and shipping firms in Britain, Germany, Norway, and Belgium are suspending transit through the Red Sea due to heightened concerns. Militants in Yemen, supporting Hamas, have increased attacks on vessels heading for Israel.

BP, Equinor ASA, and others are rerouting ships to avoid the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

The U.S. announced a 10-nation coalition, including Britain, France, Bahrain, and Italy, to address missile and drone threats in the Red Sea.
