NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Students were on the edge of their seats this morning while viewing the Shakespeare in Paradise adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Richard III.

Actors were met with a roar of applause from students at the curtain call of this morning’s Richard III matinee, with many students noting after the show that the performance has changed the way they view Shakespeare.

The inclusion of matinees for students is not a new addition to the Shakespeare in Paradise lineup, but title role actor, David Burrows, says the student matinees are especially important this year.

The choice to take an experimental angle with only three-actors and narration was explained to us after the show by co-writer and director, Erin Knowles-McKinney.

Thursday night is your last opportunity to see Richard III, you can find tickets through shakespeareinparadise.org
