NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two years after losing her sister to colon cancer, Emily Darville says she’s still reeling from the devastating loss.

She’s encouraging everyone to screen early to avoid the possibility of the same fate.

She sat down with our Jameelha Missick.

Emily Darville, sister of Andrea Darville, who passed away from colon cancer, a year after being diagnosed with the disease at just 30-years-old.

She says it was that decision that changed her life, as andrea was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.

That’s when she decided to organize the Get Your Rear in Gear Bahamas 5K Race, a fundraising event for those diagnosed with colon cancer.
