Six Arrested For Breaches

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A teen and five men were arrested over the last week for allegedly breaching court-ordered electronic monitoring conditions.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A teen and five men were arrested over the last week for allegedly breaching court-ordered electronic monitoring conditions.

The men, who range in age from 17 years old to 31 years old, were arrested by officers from the electronic monitoring unit, between October 9th and October 15th.

Police say they will be arraigned in the magistrates’ court this week.

Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander has promised a crackdown on bail violators.

During the September 20th press conference, Fernander revealed police had charged 38 people for breaching their bail conditions.

Also, last month five men, including a teen, were arrested and taken to court for allegedly violating their bail conditions.

Police tell Our News the men are being monitored after charges of murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, and attempted armed robbery.
