NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Now, I’ve done has done just about everything in this staycation series, from enjoying great food, to having fun at the water park, and even spending time with the flamingos.

However, as an athletic guy, there was one thing I hadn’t tried as yet – tennis.

Our team hooked up with Bahamian tennis pro Kevin Major for a quick lesson at the John McEnroe Tennis Center.

We grabbed our rackets and headed out to the court.

Now, it was my first time playing, and let’s just say, it showed.

Tennis may look easy on television, but once you’re on the court, it’s a completely different experience.

I started out with some basic drills at first, they were a little tough, but I eventually got the hang of them.

Major was patient throughout the training, and he assured me that, with time and practice, I’d get better.

Then, our digital reporter Kirkwood Clarke got a chance to take to the court.

Even though he’s also new to the sport, I have to admit, he looked much better than I did.

Finally, it was our cameraman, Tate Bethel, who put all of us to shame.

He quickly worked his way through the basics and soon looked comfortable engaging in a back and forth, competitive game with the tennis pro.

However, the tennis courts aren’t the only thing available.

There are also pickleball courts, along with a mini golf course nearby and a basketball court, which personally is more my speed.

So, whether you’re into tennis, pickleball, mini golf, or basketball, there are plenty of ways to stay active.

It’s the perfect facility to get in some exercise while enjoying your staycation.
