NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Amid reports that a sitting PLP Member of Parliament has been accused of alleged rape and abuse, other members of parliament have so far remained mum on the issue.

“No comment,” that’s how several members of the Davis led administration responded to serious allegations made against a sitting member of parliament.

Officer-in-Charge of the Northern Assistant Commissioner of Police B.K. Bonamy Jr. confirmed that a complaint was made against a member of parliament, but at last report, no one was brought in for questioning on the matter.

On Tuesday, former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis says that’s concerning.

But should the member of parliament resign?

Our News understands the victim filed the complaint in Grand Bahama on April 7th.
