Boise State Falls to UCLA 35-22

Los Angeles, USA. Bahamian Prince Strachan and a shell of his Boise State Broncos football team took on  the UCLA Bruins in their hometown on Saturday night in the Los Angeles Bowl, falling 35-22.

Boise State made a vailiant effort against a stout UCLA defense without their starting quarterback Taylen Green, who announced his transfer to Arkansas before the bowl game or backup Maddux Madsen who was hurt, they were forced to start freshman third-stringer CJ Tiller and try to bludgeion UCLA in the run game with their very potent two-headed running back duo of Ashton Jeanty and George Holani.

The strategy actually worked for awhile with Boise State taking a 16-7 lead into halftime.

The game changed when UCLA’s starter for the night, running QB Colin Schlee was knocked out of the game with an injury, neccessitaitng regular starter Ethan Garbers, who was hurt to get int he game. Garbers was able to put quick scores on the board with his passing ability, leading to Boise abandandoning the run game and throw to Strachan.
Strachan finished the game witha team-leading three catches for 37 yards but no touchdowns. With the loss, Boise State finishes the season with an 8-5 record, a relative disappointment in which their coach was fired but with linebackers coach Spencer Danielson being promoted to full-time head coach.

The Broncos are feeling good about next year with their running back tandem of Jeanty and Holani returning and Strachan too resumably, look for the 6’5” wideout with track speed from Grand Bahama to take a leap in the offense.
