NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Three bright young minds are getting the opportunity of a lifetime, and get this, It’s free.

Three high school students are the recipients of full scholarships that will propel their careers in the Maritime industry.

The standards of training and certification of watch-keeping, is a basic level of certification when joining the maritime industry and thanks to Shipmate Ltd, three young men will receive this training which will jumpstart their future careers in the industry.

Captain Sandy Campbell says the company believes in the importance of giving young people the right opportunity.

Director of the Falcons Boys Club, Darrin Rolle says the three young men were chosen after presenting reasons on why they believe they deserved the scholarship.

Scholarship recipient, Kyron Thomas, shares why he’s choosing to pursue a career in maritime.

Recipients Jordan Roxbury and Keishon Newbold say they’re grateful for the opportunity.
