Students Receive Top Prizes at Honors Assembly

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – More than 100 students took home top prizes, as students at D.W. Davis Junior High School were awarded for outstanding performances over the past semester.

Scores of cheers and excitement ringing out in D.W. Davis’ courtyard as students received prizes and awards for their various achievements. Subject, attendance, leadership, and G.P.A awards were among those handed out.

Nicollete Brown, school principal, expressing pride in the students’ performance especially during the height of the pandemic.

Among those honored was 10-year-old Harshini Jagroo, who attained the school’s highest G.P.A. She plans to be one of the youngest ever to graduate high school at age 15.

Khamani Davis, brother of Omar Davis Jr, who was murdered last year, was also among the top students honored. He credits hard work for his success.
