SWEETING’S CAY, GRAND BAHAMA – Residents of Sweeting’s Cay now more prepared in the event they have to tackle fires.

The Rotary Club of Freeport, along with its partners, donating fire safety equipment to every household on the cay. 

As the island is without a fire engine, President Luther Burrows, explaining how a donated raw water pump works

The Rotary Club is no stranger to the cay as they are also responsible for the re-construction of some 19 homes post-Dorian.

Sgt. Russell of the fire branch teaching residents how to use the fire extinguisher. The key is, to remember the acronym, P.A.S.S.
