NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Entertainer Tamari has big plans of leveraging his knowledge and connections to help more Bahamian artists make it big locally and abroad.

He sits down with our Jean Joseph to chat about his music, what shapes his career, as well as his vision for Bahamian youth and the Bahamian entertainment industry.

Tamari, also known as Knowledge, has been working on his craft for years and has collaborated and rubbed shoulders with some of reggae’s elite artists like Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Capleton, and Chezidek among others.

Like many musicians, Tamari says the church played a role in his musical development, but his multicultural upbringing also played a pivotal role in his musical development and his views on life.

Tamari says his music is a vessel for a positive message, something that is much needed in today’s society, with crime rampant and young men dying in high numbers.

Beyond the positive message, Tamari says he wants to help make the entertainment industry better for all, but he sees that many entertainers face obstacles.
