TURKS AND CAICOS – While The Bahamas has seen a decrease in migrant apprehensions, Defence Force Commodore Dr. Raymond King says the Turks and Caicos Islands have been inundated with migrants looking to reach their shores.

King says they’re being targeted by Haitian nationals from Cape Haitian and along the northern coast of the island.

The RBDF commodore says there are agreements in place that allow for The Bahamas to assist with incidents like these.

The Bahamas signed a ship rider agreement, allowing TCI officers to be onboard RBDF vessels for joint patrols.
