TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS – Authorities are warning residents on Turks and Caicos Island not to touch any suspected debris from SpaceX’s starship flight #8, which was lost over the sea near The Bahamas on March 6th.

A government advisory asked members of the public who spot debris to report it by emailing nationalsecurity@gov.tc, with the location, time, and photos, without handling the material.

The spacecraft broke apart shortly before reaching its maximum altitude during its launch from Texas. While the mishap caused brief flight disruptions, normal operations have resumed. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
