NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 34-year-old teacher is behind bars after being accused of indecently assaulting a 16-year-old student.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 34-year-old teacher is behind bars after being accused of indecently assaulting a 16-year-old student.

Prosecutors say Eugene Bain touched the girl’s genitals through her clothing at a school in Eleuthera on September 14.

Bain was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he stood before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on Friday.

Bail was denied and he returns to court in January for voluntary bill of indictment papers.
