WILLEMSTAD, CURACAO – Team Bahamas maintained its lead following Day Two at the 2023 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships in Curacao.

The Bahamas has 546 points, followed by the Cayman Islands with 383 points, Trinidad and Tobago with 246 points, Barbados with 239 points and Jamaica with 231.50 points, rounding out the top five teams.

The Bahamas won several relays on night two including the Girls and Boys 11-12 400 Meter medley and the Girls and Boys 15-17 400 Meter medley.

Also having gold medal performances were Saleste Gibson who won the Girls 11-12 50 Meter fly and 200 Meter free, Skyler Smith who won the girls 11-12 100 Meter back, Alissa Ferguson who won the Girls 11-12 400 Meter IM, Christon Joseph who won the Boys 11-12 200 Meter free among others.

The Bahamas currently has 18 gold, 11 silver and 12 bronze for a total of 41 medals.

Day three will begin at 9:00am at the Enith Brigitha Pool.
