SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – John-Marc is in San Juan with the senior men’s national basketball team as they prepare to take on Puerto Rico in FIBA Americup Qualifiers.

John, we’ve been waiting for weeks, fill us in on the final roster.

Thanks Renaldo, this team is headlined by Kai Jones, Kino Burrows, Domnick Bridgewater, David Nesbitt, Eron Gordon, Kentwan Smith, Radshad Davis, Emmanuel Newsome, Godfrey Rolle, Tavario Miller, Aaron Levarity.

Head Coach Moses Johnson is very excited with the team we brought to Puerto Rico

Hugh Campbell Basketball

On to local high school basketball, the 39th Hugh Campbell Invitational is underway at the Kendal Isaacs Gym and Tuesday’s early session featured several elimination games.

Blazer Elite remained alive with an 86-33 win over the Greenville Gators, the C.R. Walker Knights advanced 45-17 with a win over the Doris Johnson Mystic Marlins and the Jordan Prince William Falcons just barely got by Teleos Christian 50-49.

Play continues daily at the Kendal Isaacs Gym with the final four and championship slated for Thursday.

World Relays

With the World Athletics Relays set to return to The Bahamas in May, Minister of Youth, Sports, and Culture Mario Bowleg gave his assurance that the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium will be ready for competition.
