Tenant Charged with Killing Landlord Over Rent Dispute
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 41-year-old man is behind bars after he was accused of killing his landlord over a rent dispute.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 41-year-old man is behind bars after he was accused of killing his landlord over a rent dispute.
Johnathan Bowleg stood before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly charged with the murder of 57-year-old Jeffrey Burrows at Huyler Street.
Prosecutors say Bowleg stabbed Burrows during a dispute on November 9.
Bowleg didn’t have to enter a plea to the charge and was denied bail.
He returns to court on January 24, 2025 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
