The Bahamas Christian Council Wraps Up 21 Days of Prayer

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Liturgical dancers, a praise and worship team led by the award-winning gospel artist Sherwin Gardner, as well as locals and visitors, gathered at Rawson Square on Sunday for a national prayer rally organized by the Bahamas Christian Council (BCC).

Despite the overcast sky, attendees continued to arrive, holding umbrellas as a testament to their resolve to participate in the rally until its conclusion.

The two-hour program featured dozens of clergymen who led moments of intercession for economic growth, thanksgiving prayers, prayers against social ills, prayers for the country’s government, and more.

Among them was BCC President of the Christian Council President, Pastor Mario Moxey.

“During the 21 days there were times of fasting, various intercessory groups, church groups. They earned every single day during this 21 days. “

Over the last 3 weeks, believers paused for 60 seconds of prayer every day at 12PM, praying against crime, corruption, and social ills, while lifting up families, leaders, the economy, and students heading back to school.

Pastor Moxey says concluding their pilgrimage of prayer in Rawson Square held a significant meaning.

“This is a seat of power, this is wear government makes decisions, and it is at this place that we recognize that the direction of our nation is determined.”

Moxey adds the timing of the rally was also deliberate…

It took place the day before the return of thousands of students to educational institutions nationwide…
