EXUMA, BAHAMAS – Bicycles rolling, children laughing and Christmas cheer on full display.

George Town, Exuma transformed into a festive playground as families gathered for the annual Christmas extravaganza, hosted by member of parliament for Exuma and Ragged Island, Chester Cooper along with his wife Cecillia.

Despite a brief bout of bad weather, the excitement never slowed, especially for the children.

From games to giveaways, every corner of the event was packed with activity, prizes, and food, ensuring that no one left empty-handed.

But, organizers say the heart of the event has always been the children.

From bouncing castles to face painting and a special visit by Santa and his friends, it was an event for all.

Adults were also part of the celebration, with raffle prizes drawing cheers just as loud as the children’s.

And walking away with the grand prize, a 55 inch smart TV, 18 year old Ashad Williams.

For many of the young people, the gifts also mean access to sports, activity, and positive outlets.

The island MP says the extravaganza was the grand finale of weeks of outreach across Exuma and Ragged Island, stretching from Farmer’s Cay and Black Point to Ragged Island itself.
