NASSAU, BAHAMAS – You see them walking around when a swim meet is ongoing – they’re standing behind the blocks as well but who are they and why are they so important?

No meet can happen without the presence of the officials, the same is so for swimming.

One of the top swimming officials in the country is Gena Culmer-Taylor. She spoke exclusively to our news about what it is that they do when big meets are taking place.

She will have the distinct pleasure to serve as an official representing The Bahamas during the World Swimming Championships set for July in Japan.
