NASSAU , BAHAMAS – Flying across the water, balancing on waves, and pulling off stunts that have gained attention across social media, 10 Summas has become one of the most recognizable names in the local jet ski scene.

The Bahamian entrepreneur, who helped transform an area many never imagined would become such a tourist hotspot, says what started as a passion has now grown into something much bigger.

“Well, it’s really a family business. My grandfather, he was one of the pioneers of water sports over Paradise Island, and I used to come up with my father. From there, it just became a lifestyle for me.”

The Bahamian stunt rider has taken his talents beyond the shores of New Providence, competing and performing throughout the Caribbean while building connections and showcasing the Bahamian brand abroad.

He says despite the different countries and cultures, the jet ski community remains connected through their love for the sport.

“Well, I’ve just been trying to showcase different countries, like what they have to offer, and they welcome me with open arms. I just enjoy the jet ski scenes over there because everyone is the same wherever you go, but everyone just has a different style of doing it.”

He explained that many tourists now travel to The Bahamas specifically for the chance to ride with him, drawn by the high-energy experience and his unique style on the water.

But he says the success isn’t just about him.

As demand continues to grow, he’s also helping create opportunities for other local businesses.

“Well, it’s been getting so fast where I have to have backup. I have to call other operators. I have to call other businesses like black truck drivers, taxi drivers, folks at Airbnbs. I need a lot of assistance because they know for sure once they’re booking me, they’ll be safe.”

10 Summas said that one of his biggest goals is to build something that lasts for generations.

It appears that legacy is already beginning, with his son quickly becoming a sensation of his own.

“Once I get to watch him grow up and take over the company and do his own thing, I think I’ll be satisfied when it comes to life itself, and him and his little brother take it over.”
