NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Junior Junkanoo parade returned to Bay Street in grand style this past Thursday.

13 groups competing in four categories, pre-school, primary school, high school and community groups.

Advisor of Genesis Teenhawks is somewhat of a vet when it comes to Junkanoo as he got involved to pass on his love of culture.

Roantae Dorsett says he believes Junkanoo is a positive outlet for young children and he was happy to see the parade resume.

First timers Amari Dorsett, Symphony Thomas  and Aadiah Davis say they thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely return for next year’s parade.
