NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The world’s largest swimming lesson event, held at Baha Mar’s Baha Bay Water Park, saw children and teenagers alike don their swimsuits and dive into a day of learning and fun. 

The initiative, part of a worldwide campaign to promote water safety and enhance swimming skills.

Certified instructors provided expert guidance, one of them – three time Bahamian Swimming Olympian Jermey Knowles.

The historic event comes on the heels of a tragic incident where a thirteen-year-old boy drowned while swimming with family on Monday. In light of this, the importance of the lesson was felt deeply by all. 

One parent expressed her gratitude for the opportunity.
