NASSAU, BAHAMAS – National Security Minister Wayne Munroe shooting down claims that rape victims aren’t treated with enough sensitivity when reporting matters to police.

It comes on the heels of what seems to be a spike in the sexual assault of young children.

Munroe says a special unit has been formed for reports like these with trained professionals.

Just this week it was revealed that an 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and impregnated by her mother’s boyfriend.

We understand she was then given pills to abort the baby.

That was followed by another sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl.
